Garrett’s Response to Love Dare #2

Love Dare #2:

In thinking about doing at least one unexpected gesture as an act of kindness, I remembered reading The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman–the five love languages are words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service, and physical touch. My wife loves quality time, but acts of service are also a strong love language for her. She enjoys having a clean house and I figured an unexpected gesture would be to clean the kitchen counter for her after dinner so that she would not have to worry about it. She really enjoyed me taking the lead in cleaning the kitchen. Now my goal is to change it from an unexpected to an expected gesture as doing just a bit more for your loved one can fill her love tank as well as reduce the stress she feels in cleaning the kitchen, taking out the trash, vacuuming the living room, mowing the lawn, etc.

What unexpected gesture(s) have you done for your loved one?
