Good morning everyone!  Are you ready to begin to see how God intended us to love each other, better yet are you up for the challenge to emulate His love?  If so, let’s begin with our first dare.

LOVE DARE#1 as referenced in The Love Dare:

The first part of this dare is fairly simple. Although love is communicated in a number of ways, our words often reflect the condition of our heart. For (today), resolve to demonstrate patience and say nothing negative to your spouse (significant other) at all. If temptation arises, choose not to say anything. It’s better to hold your tongue than say something you will regret.

Please note each dare will be extended a week so that you have enough time to do the dares, reflect with God, and fellowship with us. You may do the dares more than once a week if you are in a position to do so; allow God to be your guide. Please feel encouraged to comment as a means for stronger fellowship, but we do no want you feel obligated to do so.

  1. Luis,

Good thinking with the flowers! Hang in there and we’ll keep praying for you and your wife.

  2. Hey Mr. G

Thanks for your prayer bro…they’re working…!! Keep them coming. Came home last night – and tonight and things were….nice….I like nice…

Not doing a lot of talking and i know we ‘both’ want to say something….I’m breaking the ice tomorrow….sending her flowers…

Pray for me bro – as I will pray for you.

  3. Luis,

We’ll be praying for you. I came home late after a long day at work and it would have been easy to be impatient, but your words were very inspiring. I’m going to continue this dare through tomorrow as I want to be able to show patience throughout the day.

  4. Talk about God’s timing…wow…!! This one is going to be tough – simply because we are right in the middle of some miss-understanding and insecurities….BUT I will do it…

I’m expecting some sort of ‘friction’ tonight – but i promise to follow the lover dare challenge and just love my wife….
