Taking the First Step in Faith

“Faith and works should travel side by side, step answering to step, like the legs of men walking. First faith, and then works; and then faith again, and then works again – until they can scarcely distinguish which is the one and which is the other.”

William Booth

Questions:

1. How have you walked in faith?

2. Why is it that taking the first step in faith is the most difficult?

  1. Misha,
I always regret not doing things better and I never quite thought of it that way, but you are absolutely right. Thank you for yet more inspiration.

  2. Lawrence,
You are a living example of walking in faith! That is something to be proud of. I think it sad how in the end we all wish we would have spent more time truly walking in faith.

  3. I don’t know how this’ll sound but, just living is an example of me walking in faith. Not knowing what God has instore each day and, knowing there are possible dangers and good things, yet I will still go forward each day and “represent” my Dad’s kingdom. Taking the first step is hardest because it is pretty much showing your loyalty.

We all know that God’ll be right beside us, but we all have that bad human nature part where we try to do things are own way.
