Can You Rest?

“Have courage for the great sorrows of life and patience for the small ones. And when you have finished your daily task, go to sleep in peace. God is awake.”

Victor Hugo

1. Can you rest in the fact that God never sleeps?

2. What pain are you having to courageously endure?

3. Where is God in your pain?

  1. Lawrence,
I read your comment before going to sleep and asked God to help me respond. All I could think about was the pain you had to endure and continue to. Words will not suffice in terms of describing how sorry I am that your children are not with you right now. I agree with God’s response to you, “knock it off Junior.”

Remember, that you can only offer the world as much as you have faith that you can offer.

We are all grateful for your presence Lawrence and we have been pleasantly changed by what you have written … BRING IT ON because we want more of what you have to offer!

  2. I call Him my Dad. It is such a comforting feeling to know that my Dad is ALWAYS there. As far my personal pain; I really don’t feel that I have anything to offer the world. I lost my children to a woman who doesn’t even love them (my ex-wife), I feel like crawling into a hole and staying there everyday. I HONESTLY feel like I’ve only done two things right in life; have a son and, have a daughter.

He’s right there telling me “knock it off Junior.” But me being the stubborn person I am, I feel that there’s something else I’m missing. That is one of my most painful topics; I cry even thinking about them.
