Loving without Love

“Without expectation, do something for love itself, not for what you may receive. Love in action is what gives us grace. We have been created for greater things – – to love and to be loved. Love is love – – to love a person without any conditions, without any expectations. Small things, done in great love, bring joy and peace. To love, it is necessary to give. To give, it is necessary to be free from selfishness.”

Mother Theresa

Questions:

1. What are you willing to do or give as a means to demonstrate love?

2. Why is it so difficult to love without conditions?

  1. DUH! I should have known. You are the happy Czech. Hello Bill!

You asked a good question Misha. Why? I think it might be human nature to expect it back. We are not “hot-wired” for service and unconditional love.

  2. Hi Bill,
Why is it that when we take the time to truly love someone, we except the same amount of love back?
Unconditional love is the love God intended us give one another, yet it is by far the hardest love to give.

On a side note, I am half Czech 🙂

  3. To give expecting in return is not love. Unconditional love does not expect a return. Reference to John 3:16 for that truth.

Side: i saw you over at Zee’s blog. Are you also Ukrainian?
